Estate of Thomas Tuffts, late of Earl tp., yeoman
--Petition of Administrator Martha Tuffts: Said Thomas Tuffts died intestate in May 1788 seized in possession of 57A Earl tp. and also a house in the city of Philadelphia. He left six children, the youngest aged about three years at the time of its father's death; another of the children is blind. The petitioner requests to sell part of the tract in Earl tp. in order to pay the estate's debts and to maintain and educate the minor children. // The court allowed two acres to be sold for the said purposes on 5 April next.

--Administrator Martha Tuffts reports that she sold 2A Earl tp. to David Berringer of the same place in compliance with a court order of 25 Mar last.
