  • Notes
    • According to Faust & Brumbaugh's "Lists of Swiss Emigrants in the Eighteenth Century," Andreas Fri(e)dli of Wäckerschwend (hamlet), Ochlenberg (village), Herzogenbuchsee (parish), Canton Bern, Switzerland received permission on May 29, 1751, to leave for America with his wife, who is not named.

Andrew Friedly (Anglicized name) was forced to leave his daughter Barbara, a minor child, as the authorities deemed the journey too dangerous. Barbara died by 1758 when her father fell heir to her inheritance.

Andreas Friedli arrived on the ship Queen of Denmark on October 4, 1751, along with his neighbor from Ochlenberg, Hans Schneeberger (Snowberger). The descendants were Dunkards aka German Baptist Brethren, an offshoot of the Anabaptist movement.
